RABAUL ERUPTION.
SOME NATIVES PROBABLY DEAD Received June 2, 10.55 a.m. SYDNEY, June 2. Although official messages emphasise that there has been no loss of life among the white population of Rabaul, it is now believed that some natives were overwhelmed in the first eruption of the Vulcan Island volcano.
