WESTERN AGREEMENT.
PROGRESS OF NEGOTIATION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 31. The meetings at Geneva last week afforded a fresh- opportunity to the Foreign Ministers of Great Britain, France and Belgium to review the state of negotiations for a new Western agreement. As is known, all three Governments attach the greatest importance to bringing the dismissions which liav© been in tram now for more than a year, to a successful conclusion, and it was agreed to press on with the efforts to tin* Reports which have appeared sugnesting that as a result of the Geneva talks Mr Eden had -undertaken some special responsibility tor this purpose on behalf of the other parties concerned, are understood to be without foundation.
