’PLANE FATALITY
CRASH NEAR STRATFORD. MR P. H. NATHAN KILLED. PASSENGER IN MILES HAWKE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 2. The Postmaster-General, Wellington, has received advice from the Postmaster at Stratford that at 9.55 a.m. today the Wellington-Miles-Hawke aeroplane flying from Christchurch to .Auckland crashed ori Pembroke Road, three miles north-west of Stratford. 'I ho ’plane was lost in a fog and, when endeavouring to return, struck the top of a hill. The pilot, Mr Dunford, was sent to hospital suffering from a broken leg and the passenger, Mr P. H. Nathan, was killed.
