IN DIVORCE.
DECREES ABSOLUTE. Two decrees absolute in divorce were granted by His Honour Sir John Reed in the Supreme Court to-day. A decree absolute was granted Gladys Eileen Griffin, hotel worker, of Palmerston North, in her action for divorce from Ebnr Slade Griffin, a labourer, of Dunedin. Petitioner asked for the custody of two children, girls aged 14 and 16, but His Honour said he did not see any reason to disturb the present custody of the children, with the father. The children wore liow nearing an ago when they could decide for themselves with whom they would live. Mr G. E. Rowe appeared for petitioner (on behalf of Mr H. G. Lovell) and Mr A. M. Onglev for respondent. Norali Lilian Cornier, of Greatford (Mr A. M. Ongley), petitioned for a decree absolute in her divorce from Douglas Arthur Condor, a labourer of Marton, the application being granted, while a, point as to permanent maintenance was reserved for further consideration.
