Organised by the Manawatu Missionary Association, an enthusiastic meeting was held in St. Paul’s Methodist Church schoolroom, on Monday, . at which a lantern lecture was given » by Miss Mary Rees, the missionary ». from Central Africa. Tjje gathering.: was a fully representative one and the audience listened in rapt attention throughout, the slides giving them a vivid impression of the fine work that is being accomplished by the world-wide. Evangelisation Crusade. Miss Rees showed slides depicting incidents in the life of the late Mr C. T. Stucld, the missionary, and also numerous ones connected with crusade work.
Rev. M. A. McDowell presided and Mr H. J. Kemp assisted with _ the slides.
