BASKETBALL.
Y.W.C.A. CLUB. The monthly meeting of the Y.W.C.A. Basketball Club was lie.d this week, when officers-were elected as follow:-—President, Miss Ross; chairman, Miss Hindle; secretary, Miss H. Louden. Captains: A team, J. Smithers (captain), H. Louden (vice-captain); B team, B. Sc’nwabe (captain), B. Raisin (vice-captain); C. team, M. Dunsta.n (captain), P. Wilson (vice-cap-tain); D. team, P. Hastings (captain), P Fuller (vice-captain). It was decided to enter teams in the King’s Birthday holiday tournament. An explanation of rules was given by Miss Hindle and basketball tactics were discussed. It was decided to ha.ve a captains’ meeting to discuss the games, teams and players generally.
