MR JORDAN’S SPEECH.
“NO BLUE-PENCILLING.” Received June 2, 12.45 p.m. LONDON, June 1. The New Zealand High Commissioner (Mr W. J. Jordan) upon his return from Geneva denied the reports that Mr Anthony Eden had blue-pen-cilled his speech oh the Spanish question. “It is true that Mr Eden and myself conferred regarding the speech I was about to make,” said Mr Jordan, “but neither Mr Eden’s action nor mine was influenced thereby. We do desire, if practicable, to present siimlar cases to the League Council.” ‘ , Mr Jordan, as rapporteur ot the health dbmmittee of the League, has been invited to attend the committee meeting in Paris in October to which the Health Ministers of all the European nations have been invited.
