STARR-BOWKETT SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the directors of the Starr-Bowkett Building Society was held last evening. Mr M. A. Eliott presided, and also present were Messrs H. Christmas, J. B. Gei-rand, F. Jackson, S. AV. Rapley, D. F. Smillie, and H. F. AA 7 ilson. Routine business was transacted in Groups 3 and 4 ; further ballots for return of subscriptions in these groups are to be held at the next meeting. A loan of £SOO was completed in Group 5 and £lB4 was passed for payment for return of subscriptions to a deceased estate. A loan of £SOO, Uo. 6 Group, was reported as completed and the amount ,was passed for payment. Ballot £SOO drawn in No. 7 was reported as being for sale. Lonns for £3OO and £2OO drawn by ballot were approved in No. 8 Group, also a loan for £SOO in No. 9 Group. Twenty-two shares were applied for in No. 10 Group and duly allotted. Ballots in all groups will be held at the next meeting.
