GOVERNMENT RECEPTION
TO ASSOCIATION FOOTBALLERS Per Press Association. ' WELLINGTON, May 31. The English association footballers were given a Government reception to-day by Hon. F. Jones, acting in the absence of Hon. P. Fraser.■ Representatives of sports bodies joined in the welcome. Mr Wreford Brown,, the manager, replying, said that the importance of providing sports facilities had been ■realised by New Zealand before England.
Before going to Parliament House the representatives of the team placed a wreath on the War Memorial.
