GOLF AT HOME.
Received May 29, 10.55 a.m. LONDON, May 28. : In the amateur golf quarter-finals-Sweeny beat Wehrle, 3 and 2; Munn beat Pennink, 2 up. In the semifinals Sweeny beat Stowe, 6 and 5, find Munn beat Count Bendern, 4 and 3.
The finalists are a veteran and a youngster. Munn, who is aged 60,’ lias won seven Irish championships. He played first-class golf for thirty years, but Was never nearer winning the amateur championship than the semi-final. Sweeny was recently captain of Oxford University.
