AN OLD FELT HAT.
Have you an old felt hat that you can longer wear? You can make excellent use of it for a, floor polisher. You simply wrap it round a brush. Also, small discs of the felt can be glued to the bottom of the chair legs instead of fixing casters. Such pads will save the wear of your floor coverings considerably, and stop that irritating "scrape" when a chair is moved.
Everyone knows how annoying it is when a blind springs right up and gets jammed in the roller. A very easy way to prevent this is to sew a button at each end of the hem oil the window side. This will prevent the blind getting past the roller. /
