ASSOCIATION CODE.
RECOGNITION IN SCHOOLS. A meeting of the Manawatu Association Football committee was held on Tuesday evening, Mr W. A. Jacques presiding. ' . It was resolved that the association should meet the expenses of representatives attending the trial match at Wellington. It was also decided that a deputation consisting of Messrs Geekie, Kempson, Houston, Jacques, J. C. Young and Dick wait on the Headmasters’ Association to ascertain their view regarding recognition of soccer in the schools, and a decision was made to forward a letter regarding the proposed meeting to the Headmasters’ Association. The nomination of the Thistle Club was accepted. Mr W. Lyon’s action in purchasing subscription cards was endorsed. A fixtures committee, composed oi Messrs Kempson, Jacques and Lyon, was appointed. Mr. W. Allen was elected to the position of sole, selector.
