OBITUARY.
REV. J. A. KEMPTHORNE. The death has occurred of Rev. John Arnold Kemptliorne, vicar of St. John’s Anglican Church, Milton. The eldest son of the late Archdeacon and Mrs Kemptliorne, he was born at Reeiton in 18f9. He was ordained as a deacon in 1903 and as a, priest of the Anglican Church in 1905, being appointed curate of St. Mark’s, Remuera. Between 1907 and 1910 he was curate at Heckmondiocke, Yorkshire, and, returning to New Zealand, was appointed in turn to New Plymouth, Inglewood, Taumarunui, Morrinsville, Te Kuiti and Feilding before his appointment to Milton in 1931. He leaves a widow, two sops and three daughters. Rev. F. M. Kemptliorne, of Ivarori, Wellington, is a brother.
