MEAT EXPORTS.
AUSTRALIA AND BRITAIN. Satisfactory progress is being made in ilio negotiations between the Commonwealth and Imperial - Governments for the delivery of beef, mutton, lamb, and pork to the United Kingdom during the next quarter. The acting Prime .Minister (Dr Ernie Page) said recently that oversea prices were being maintained, and prospects for the coming three months were much brighter than they were two weeks ago. The first meeting of the Empire Meat Council, lie said, would be bold shortly. It would take into consideration the quantitative deliveries Irom the various Dominions with the object of keeping up a regular How into'the London market each mouth. The possibilities of deliveries from each of the Dominions would lie reviewed and at the same time consideration would lie given to the home producer of meat in Britain.
