MINERS KILLED.
MISHAP WITH CAGE. Received March 31, 8.5 p.m. CAPETOWN, March 30. Through the overwinding of a pit cage, 35 miners have been killed in a Durban deep goldmine. DEATH BY DROWNING. Received March 31, 9.50 a.m. CAPETOWN, March 30. Further details ot the mishap at the Durban goldmine show that the cage crashed into 3011. of water at the bottom of the shaft. One European and thirty-four natives were trapped like rats and drowned.
