TRAIN DISASTER
DEATH PENALTY EXACTED. Received March 30, 11.30 a.m. MOSCOW, March 29. Following a train wreck on the Trans-Caucasian railway, in which two Red Army officers were seriously injured and thirteen coaches were derailed, the assistant stationmaster was executed.
The engine-drivers of the two trains were sentenced to ten years’ and seven years’ imprisonment, and the two guards to three years’.
