NEW MOTOR WRECKED.
WOMAN PASSENGER INJURED. HAMILTON, March 29. Injuries necessitating her removal to the Waikato Hospital were suffered by Mrs H. Q, Hickton, of Taumarun'ui, when a Motor car in which she was a passenger was wrecked on the Grea.t South Road, near Otorohanga. The accelerator of the motor car, a new one, jambed when Mr Hickton, who was driving ; was passing another car, and the vehicle struck a telegraph post, which broke in three pieces, and somersaulted against a cream stand on the side of the road. A passing motorist took Mrs Hickton to hospital, where she was stated to be suffering from shock and abrasions, her condition being serious. Both Mr Hickton and his son escaped with minor injuries.
