CENTRE TOURNAMENT. SECTION PLAY IN PAIN. Despite drizzling rain, which intervened during the progress of the last round, the three days of section play were concluded in the Manawatu Bowling Centre’s Easter rinks championship tournament late yesterday, when it was found that nineteen rinks, each with six wins or more, had qualified for post-section play to-day. Mattar (Foxton) was the only skip to bring his rink through to that stage without defeat. Tantrum (Takaro) and Naylor (Thermion) each had only one loss.
