BON VOYAGE.
Mrs E. Anstis. a prominent croquet player, who with Mr Anstis leaves early next week on a world tour, has been ‘ a much-feted person. Mrs N. Allen, of Fitzherbert, was hostess at a delightful afternoon party, the guest of honour being the recipient of a gift from each of the guests present. The afternoon was spent in competitions of various kinds, the winners being Mrs Wingate, Mrs Knight, Mrs Buchanan and Mrs Cook. Mrs Anstis was also the guest of honour at a jolly bridge party given by Mrs Bowden, assisted by Mrs Glendinning and Miss Bowden. After a delightful afternoon tea, Mrs Anstis was asked to accept a beautiful leather travelling bag. Mrs Findlay Wilson, of Mere Mere Avenue, was another hostess at a party where the guest of honour was presented with a leather travelling cushion.
A number of friends gathered at the home of Mrs D. H. Cook, where after a round of farewells, the guest of honour was presented with a bouquet and a useful travelling gift. Mr and Mrs Anstis. were the guests of Mr and Mrs F. L. Horne, of Ballance, for the Easter vacation, where a number of friends gathered to wish them farewell.
