AMUSING INCIDENTS.
IN INDIAN ELECTIONS. Received February 24, 10.35 a.m. BOMBAY, Feb. 23. The provincial elections produced remarkable and amusing results, showing the solidity of the Congress Party followers, especially in the United Provinces. . In two constituencies the Congress Party candidates have five-figure totals and their opponents nil. The Lahore returning officer had to announce the success of a candidate whom he later as Magistrate tried for a bank fraud. . ~ A tie at Assam w r as decided on tne toss of a coin. - . . A Sikh candidate defeated Ins own father at Ambala.
