TERRIFIC CYCLONE.
NATIVES HURT.ED INTO AIR. A Durban message says five natives and eij.ht oxen were whirled 100 feet into the air and dashed to death by a terrific cyclone which swept through their kraal near Newcastle, Natal. The only survivor of the catastrophe is a 12-year-old native girl who was thrown into a ploughed field, being seriously injured. The body of one of the other victims was found 180 yards from the site of the kraal, the others being found at distrances varying from 30 yards to 40 yards away. The mud huts of the natives were ripped from the ground and scattered 200 yards away, while pieces of grassthatch roofs were found three miles away.
