PLUNKET SHIELD.

OTAGO BEAT CANTERBURY. Per Pi-ess Association. DUNEDIN, Feb. 23. The Plunket Shield match between Otago and Canterbury was concluded to-day in fine weather, the home team scoring an eight-point win by 66 runs. The first four wickets this morning fell fairly cheaply, the score being 181 with seven down. Alenziee then came to light with a valuable 61 and Canterbury were able to hold on till half an hour after the lunch adjournment when the last wicket fell for a total of 266. Scores: — OTAGO.
