GRETA GARBO.
RUMOURS OF ' ENGAGEMENT. . The film actress Greta Garbo refused. in Hollywood, to comment on reports from Stockholm that she was planning to return to Sweden to marry. An internationally known Swedish painter is mentioned as the prospective bridegroom. Intimate friends of Miss Garbo discredited the rumours. They said she had no intention of marrying anyone —at present. London newspapers late last year linked Miss Garbo’s name with that of the dramatist Noel Coward. Mr Coward was then in Stockholm, and went about with her a good deal. Both laughed at the idea of a romance.
