SCHOOL GROUNDS.
AWARD OF CERTIFICATES. At the monthly meeting of the Wanganui Education Board, yesterday, the senior inspector (Mr A. I*'. McMurtrie) reported that the environment certificates for the following schools had been endorsed for 1936: Aramoho, Ashhurst, Awaliou North, Beaconsfield, Bulls, Bunnythorpe, Carnarvon, Clydesdale, College Street, Fitzherbert East, Foxton, Glen Oroua, Hokowliitu, Ivairanga, Kelvin Grove, Kimbolton, Kiwitea, Ivopane, Lytton Street, Manchester Street, Alangawekn, Marion Junction, Milson, Ohakea, Palmerston North Central, Parewanui, Raumai, Rewa, Ridge Road (1934), Rongotea, Russell Street, Sanson,. Taikorea, Taonui. Terrace End, Tiakitahuna, Tiritea, Tokorangi, Umutoi (1933), Utuwai, Waituna West, West End, Western Rangitikei, AVhakarongo. New award. —Linton.
Letters of commendation are to be sent to the teacher and committee of the Oroua Downs School for work on the road frontages and the playing fields.
