terrace end club. The annual meeting of the Terrace End Swimming Club was held in the Terraco End School on Thursday. The balance-sheet was adopted as lead, a satisfactory credit balance being shown. _ , • The election of officers resulted in the following being appointed: Pntron, Ah- W. B. Tennent; president Mr it. av Belfit; ‘vice-presidents, Misses J. Al Chapman and B. A. Hayman, and Messrs W. B. Cameron C. Wilson L. Pierard, A. J. Smith, A. C. Baigtnt, C. N. Rabone, F. J. Oakley, F. Mu - phy, J. Fyfe, H. Blackwood and. R. Donald; secretary, Mr B V. Smith, treasurer, Mr R. Carter; club captain, Air C. Baigent; vice-captains, Miss d. Edwards and Mr D. Gilchrist; committee. Misses D. Gibbs, M. Edwards and M. Hamilton, and Messrs A. W. Thompson, G. Laing, J. HJ. Fyfe, E. G. Schwarz. D. C. liyoi, C. Baigent. J. Huse, H. Hiise, and D. Pringle; ho'n. auditor, MrH..Blackwood ; delegates to centre, N.Z.A.S.A., Messrs AV. Schwarz and C. Baigent ; delegate to Royal Live Saving Society, Air R. w Belfit; handicapper and coach, Mr E * G. Schwarz; timekeepers, Messrs L. Robinson and B. Smith. It was unanimously agreed that polo should be reintroduced this season and that local clubs be challenged to fnendcentre has allotted the club February 14 as a date for the annual carnival and a committee has been set up for the purpose of making this as successful an event as possible. At the conclusion of the meeting a vote of thanks was accorded the actingchairman, Mr D. O. Pryor.
