RELIEF WORK.

The view that the relife work programme which has been carried out in America during the past few years has created a burden which the country may never get rid of was expressed by Mr Norman Frazer, managing director of the Cockatoo Docks and Engineering Company, Ltd, Sydney, who returned after a trip abroad. “The relief work programme absorbed many millions of workers,” he said. “The effect has been to make them want to remain in Government employment.
