CO-OP WOMEN’S GUILD.
The Manawatu Co-operative Women's Guild hold a very pleasant afternoon on Tuesday in the Trades Hall, Cuba Street. The function was a purely social one, to entertain the mothers with their small children. Those who contributed towards the programme were: Mrs E. Smith (pianoforte solos), Mrs Procter (songs), Betty Ford (Highland dancing), Melba Niven, Olwen Heydon, Merle Jones, Jean Jacobs and Daphne Procter (recitations) and Mrs J. Boyd (humorous retxljig). A competition was won by Mrs H. Fox. Afternoon tea was served and all the children were presented with chocolates and small gifts.
