GREAT FLOOD TOLL

'I lionsands arc injured and fifty thousand are homeless. Thousands of men, women, and children are wandering terror-stricken and practically unclothed, trying to escape tho floods. A thousand houses have been destroyed and the damage is estimated at half a. million sterlingPHILIPPINE DISASTER. MANILA, Dec. 8. Thousands are missing in the northeast of Luzon Island as the result of the most disastrous flood in the history of the Philippines. Officials are checking the death roll.
