ASHHURST

(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASIIHURST, Dee. 7. The weekly practice of the Ashhurst Defence Hide Club was hold in rather windy weather last Saturday. M. Ilausmann and A. Brill headed the scores with 97 each. Details are as follow: —M. Hausniann, 32 —33—32-97; A. Brill. 33-33-31—97; H. Russell, 33—32—31—95; J. Hargreaves, 28—32 —30—90; N. Ilopcroft, 28—31—23 87: \Y. llodren. 23—28—20-76.^ The evening session of the Flower Show proved a great, success. A good audience gathered t.o view the exhibits, and to hear the concert programme. Rev. IT. B. Georlz was chairman. Tire items were as follow : Popular melodics, Air D. Reid’s band: Highland dance, double swords, Miss Lucy Cronin, and Miss D. McLean, accompanied by Air Patterson; song, Alias Sutherland, accompanied hv Alias Lyre; tap dance. Miss P. Dale: song, Mr Cronin, accompanied by Aliss Lyre: Spanish dance, Miss .June Scott: Irish duo, Alisses Cronin and AleLcan; old Scotch favourites, Mr Reid’s hand. At, the conclusion of the concert Mr Geortz thanked the artists on behalf of the committee and all present for again assisting to make the evening a success. A sale of produce and flowers wan conducted by Air Bristow, and a band of helpers. Buying was very keen, and the funds benefited considerably.
