BANDITS SURPRISED.

INCIDENT IN PALESTINE. Received December 9, 12.40 p.m. JERUSALEM, Dec. 8. When rounding a curve on the main Jenin-Nallus highway, a British Palestinian police patrol-car surprised a gang of bandits who were robbing six cars. The bandits fired and the police replied with a machine-gun. Then followed an all-night running battle. Strong forces are still searching the hills. It is believed the bandits are biding in caves.
