CITY BAND CONCERT.
Despite the boisterous nature of the weather there was a large attendance of the public at the Esplanade on Sunday afternoon when the City Band, under' the baton of Mr W. O'Hara, gave another of their popular concerts. Included in the programme was the contest selection "II Pirata." their rendering of this piece, which was only received late last month, being very favourably commented upon. The programme was:—March", "Argandal" ; hymn, "The New Rochdale"; contest selection, "II I'iraLt" ; intermezzo, "0 Sole Mio" ; selectinti, "Windermere"; hymn, "Gracious" ; dance, "Breath of Spring"; march, "Newcastle."
