LAWN TENNIS. Diu-iug the week-end a team from the Dannevirke Tennis Club engaged ill an sill day match, with players from the Feilding Lawn Tennis Club, at Feilding. The Dannevirke team defeated the home side by 19 matches and 135 sets to 13 matches and 27 sets. Mr Harnett, on behalf of the Hawke's Bav players, thanked the Feilding Club for its hospitality and commented on the excellent condition of the courts. The president of the Feilding Club (Mr C. H. Tate), replying, said lie hoped a return match could be arranged ill the near future, and he expressed ids thanks to the ladies who had attended to the catering arrangements, moving a special vote of thanks to them for their services.
