DISMISSAL OF WORKER

The two claims by the Inspector of Awards against H. W. Thompson, managing-director of the Gaiety Theatre, for sums of £25 for alleged brea.clies of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act and the Finance Act were non-suited bv the Magistrate to-day. He stated that the evidence was very unsatisfactory and contradictory. The claims arose from the dismissal of a worker, it being alleged that lie was dismissed for being an officer of a union, also becauise he was entitled to an increase in remuneration.
