REGARD FOR KING.
STRONG GERMAN SENTIMENT. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dec 7. "I am certain the German people would not like to see King Edwafd abdicate. He is very popular in Germany. Long before other people thought about it he tried to get some friendship between the German and the British people. He is regarded as the man responsible for getting better relations between Germany and England." This comment was made by the German author and journalist, Dr Ivar Kissner. doctor of law of the Erlangen University, who is a through passenger from Sydney. He is collecting material for another book. The Fatherland was intensely interested in the British Empire, said Di Kissner. The German people were reading with interest articles published on England or the Dominions. His lasi book reached sixty thousand sales in Germany and would now be published in English by London publishers.
