CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES.

“God the Only Cause and Creator” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in Ml Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The Golden Text was Isaiah 44; 24: “I am tho Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by Myself.” Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon were the following from the Bible: “J am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside Ale. I have made the earth and created man upon it: I, even My hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded. 1 have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his wavs.” (Isa. 45: 5, 12, 13.) Also the following passage from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to tho Scriptures” by Alary Baker liddy: “Alortals are egotists. They believe themselves to be independent workers, personal authors, and even privileged originators of something which Deity would not or could not create. There can be but one Creator Who has created all. Whatever seems to be a new creation is but the discovery of some distant idea of Truth; else it is a new multiplication or sub-division of mortal thought, as when some linite sense peei's from its cloister with amazement and attempts to pattern the infinite.” (p. 263.) ________
