FEILDING COMPETITIONS. Competition cricket was resumed on Saturday afternoon at Kowhai Park after the break the previous week on account of the races. Fine weather prevailed for the opening of play, but as the afternoon wore on misty rain commenced to fall. Play was continued, however. The wickets -were in fair order, with the outfield slightly soft owing to the recent rain. OLD BOYS v. FEILDING. Tu the B grade High School made 50 and 74 respectively in their two innings against Feilding, who in their first innings declared with 4 wickets down for 144 runs. Batting for Feilding B, Thompson made 56, Grindrod 22, Darney 40 not out, and Reed 17 not out. Wesley met High School A and made 54 in their first innings, and in their second effort 50. High School A made 41, and 77 for 7 wickets in their second innings. For Wesley, Duncan scored 18 in the first innings and Brook 18 and Dewe 14 in the second. Bowling for High School A, Hayward took 3 for 18 and Robertson 2 for 2 in the first innings; and Hill 5 for 11, Robertson 1 for 5 and Thurston 1 for 6in the second. Batting honours for Pligh School A went to Mitehcnson (17), Thurston (26) and Raven (21). Bowling for Wesley, Fisher took 5 for 27 and Ilaxton 1 for 4.
