COLLEGE STREET SCHOOL.
A meeting of the College Street Srhool ’Ladies’ Committee was held on Thursday evening. There were present: Alesdames Whyte (chairwoman), Wat-* chorn, Aitken, Christmas, Duckworth, Gusli, Ring, Alills, McLeod, Persson, Ross, Templeton, and Livingston (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Alesdames Drake, Gold, Holdsworth and Nicholson. The Christmas cake for competition was on exhibition. This was made and donated by Airs Christmas and ieed by Mrs D. Watson, the ingredients for icing being kindly donated by Mrs W. Carruthers. A letter of thanks is to bo forwarded to these ladies. A letter of invitation to their gala was received from the Hokowhitu School ladies’ committee. Arrangements for the College Street School gala day are well in hand. The various stalls, together with the baby show and jumble sale, should tend towards a successful day. The committee then adjourned for a combined meeting.
