REBELS CLAIM SUCCESS. NAZI ESPIONAGE ALLEGED. CONSULATE AN ARSENAL. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received November 26, 9.25 a.m. MADRID, Nov. 25. Beyond the rebels’ claim to have captured the important AVest Park, in the north-west sector, there is little change in the position of the capital. The police at Cartagena allege that they have unearthed a vast Nazi pionage propaganda organisation. The German consulate is a voritable arsenal.
’The insurgents claim to have captured near Barcelona a Norwegian steamer laden with munitions. Likewise, they forced a Greek steamer to divert her course to Ceuta. Radio messages from Teneriffe announce that naval attacks on Barcelona and Valencia are imminent. A total of 960 prisoners, mostly former Fascist officers belonging to General Franco’s secret force in Madrid, have evacuated the Model Prison and been sent to ALilencia, forestalling General Franco’s attempt to capture the M.odol Prison and release them.
