AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN NAMED. INCLUSION OF SIEVERS AAIAZEAIENT AROUSED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received November 26, 11.10 a.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 26. The Australian selectors, Alessrs D. G. Bradman, E. A. Dwyer and N. Johnston, have chosen the following players to be in readiness for the first cricket Test at Brisbane on December 4:— ' D. G. BRADAIAN (South Australia). W. A. BROAVN (Queensland). C. L. BADCOCK (South Australia). S. AIcCABE (New South AVales). J. H. FINGLETON (New South AVales). A. G. CHIPPERFIELD (New South Wales). R. H. • ROBINSON (New South AAhles). AV. J. O’REILLY (New South AA’ales). AV. A. OLDFIELD (New South AA'ales). F. AVARD (South Australia). E. L. AIcCORAIICK (Victoria). AI. AV. SIEVERS (Victoria). The actual twelfth man has not been named. The Board of Control is to choose the captain, who is certain to be Bradman. The umpires are Alessrs J. D. Scott (South Australia) and G. Borwick (New South AVales). It is not yet known whether AlcCormick will be fit to play, the torn muscle in his leg still causing pain. The only material difference of opinion between the selectors and former internationals concerns the choice of Sievers. A r ic. Richardson says: “The inclusion of Sievers, the all-rounder, has rivalled AVotan’s Alelbourne Cup win in the amazement it has caused.” AlcCormick, AlcCabe and Robinson are to submit to a medical examination. GRIMMETT’S ABSENCE. AVARNER ASTOUNDED. Received November 26, 10 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 25. Commenting on Australia’s first Test team, P. F. A\ r arner said: “AA’hat? No GrimmettP It is a very powerful side, but I thought they would retain Grinimett. I see no reason for pessimism; I do not think we will be too bad.”
