FEUDING TRACK NOTES.

It is reported that the track is in wonderful trim for the Feilding Jockey Club’s meeting which opens on Saturday. After recent rains tho sting will be out of the ground. There is a beautiful sole of grans on- the course proper and owners and trainers should bo well satisfied.

In training under Mr G. Pitcher is a team of two, Grand Jury and Brazen King. The former will be racing in the big event and is stated to be in good heart and doing good work. Brazen King is also competing at tho meeting and is shaping well in the work lie has been sot. IJ.1 J . Atkins has been engaged to ride them both. Air Farrell, the trainer of Grateful, is among the early arrivals in Feilding. Grate-' fill is to fulfill engagements and is domiciled at. Pitcher's stables. Grateful, who raced at tho Waikato meeting recently, and .secured fourth place is in good trim, and is running in tho big race each day. P. Holman is working Wee Lap or, whom P. Atkins will have the mount in the maiden event on the opening day. This horse is reported to be working in good style.

Holman is also, training a geed son. owned by Air Ala-on Duric. and hopes to have it in readiness for the Wocdvillo meeting.

J. Hastie has a learn of two horses in work. War Lap should run well in his engagements after running into fourth place at Levin, while his other candidate has never raced previously, and is a colt by Peach Brandy, being owned by Air T. O’Nciii. Although he has not been in work very long he is stated to be shaping satisfactorily.

11. Batten is training a promising two-vcar-old by ATaals, and will run him in the two year-old class on tlie second day. W. ITastic ha- Reserve Bank who will be running in the Aorangi Trial Plato cm the first day. D. Flower will ride Reserve Bank who ran a second at Bulls recently but disappointed his connections at Levin.

Horses now here or expected to arrive to-morrow tit C. Pilcher’s stables.are Grateful, Tiger Gain (trained by \V. Griffiths and a recent winner at Hastings), Royal Secret, Beau Gallante, Toorak, and King’s Lancer. JJ. Pritchard, the Trontham trainer, is arriving to-morrow with Nightlass.
