FAREWELL PARTIES.

AIRS C. 11. AIOORE. Airs C. H. Aloore, who has been visiting her parents, Air and Airs J. Gordon Eliott, Ranfurly Avenue, Feeding, is leaving New Zealand on Tuesday for Sydney, en route to Colombo. There 6he will meet her husband and will sail with him to England and in Great Britain and on the Continent they expect to spend the next nine months. In view of her departure from Feilding, Airs Aloore was given a farewell bridge party by an old Nga Tawa friend, Aliss Norah Hocking, at her home in Kiwitea. The guests were chiefly old Nga Tawa friends. The floral arrangements in the drawing-room were carried out with brilliant Iceland poppies and aquilegias. Afternoon tea was served in the dining-room, to which splashes of vivid colouring were given by marigolds and Iceland poppies. The prize-winners were Airs A. E. Anderson and Airs AV. C. Fowler. A frock of dusky pink and navy crepe-de-chine was worn by Aliss Hocking, Airs Aloore being in a smart little suit and hat of white linen. The guests were: Alesdames C. V. Newton Broad, C. Hole (AVellington), Anderson, Fowler, Ilassall, F. S. Alcßeth, D. Warburton, J. Buchanan, E. AI. Alevrick, R. Burrell. AV. H. Burrell, AI. Conway, J. Clark, Alisses P. Goodbehere, B. Eliott, F. R. and P. Conway. A very pleasant afternoon was arranged by Airs Newton Broad at her home, when the opportunity was taken to bid farewell to Airs C. H. Aloore, .who leaves Feilding early next week on an extended visit to Engla.nd. AVearing a smart frock of navy blue cloque, spoiled with white, and a smocked ve#teo of white cropo-de-chine, Airs Broad received numerous guests. Airs J. Bond assisted her mother; she wore a smart frock of crushed strawberry crepe. Airs Aloore wore a smart frock of floral liberty linen, with a large white hat. Oriental poppies, delphiniums and irises, mingled with copper beech foliage, were the decorations chosen for the drawing-room, while a large bowl of shaded rosebuds adorned the table in the dining-room, where afternoon tea was served. Airs G. E. Hassall was the winner of a novel competition. Airs Gordon Eliott, Airs D. AA’arburton, and Aliss Betty Eliott entertained with instrumental items, while Airs Aloore delighted her friends with several songs. Among those present were: Alesdames H. Aloore, A. H. Atkinson, G.
