OUTBREAKS IN INDIA. MOSLEMS AND HINDUS. NUMEROUS ARRESTS. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received October 16, 1015 a.m. BOMBAY, Oct. 15. Two were killed and 60 injured, the latter including three British police officers, in rioting Avliich broke out folloiving an attack by Moslems on workers. The latter Avere digging the foundations of a Hindu temple which, owing to tho Avidening of the road, is to be rebuilt nearer the Mosque at Byculla. Stoning and stabbing of pedestrians developed in numerous other centres, and forty arrests Avere made. A later message says the victims of the riots are now thirteen killed and 100 injured. Tho latter include seven British police. Fifty arrests Avere made. With nightfall the rioting became more aggressive; people were assaulted and stabbed in the side streets.

It is thought the infantry may be called out. The outlook is serious, although the leaders of the rival communities are exploring the possibilities of a compromise.
