A 4U-hour week was agreed upon, the hours to he 7.D0 a.in. to 6.30, with provision for shifts when necessary between (3 a.in. and 11 p.m., providing Is extra is paid. Both tlie claims and counter-claims set down wages for labourers at 2s 2s an hour.
The managing-director said the offer to the skilled tanners was not loaded. A skilful tanner was necessary, and it took a good man to do the work. The offer was agreed to and the overtime rates were arranged with Saturday holidays and meal money at Is 0d! The only remaining matter is wages for youths, which will be discussed this afternoon.
