PREVENTION OF OLD AGE.
A NEW SUCCESSFUL TREATMENT
Old age and its distressing accompaniments may be retarded in its onset by giving attention to the ductless gland. The astounding results of the “monkey gland” operations of the world famous Dr A'oronoff are well-known It has boen found by those observers who have studied this subject that certain glands in the body undergo changes in old age. It is to prevent these changes (or rather, to keep alive the functions of these glands), that rejuvenation is attempted. It does not seem, however, that surgical procedures of this kind will ever become widely adopted; neither does it appear altogether desirable that this should be so. It is obviously bettor to pi event premature old ago than to attempt to cure it by means so opposed to nature as these. One thing is certain —that if life is prolonged, it will be by preventive methods, rather than by the purloining of glands from monkeys. There can be little doubt that in old a,ge there is considerably less energy at the disposal of tlie body; and that . many of the characteristic features of this epoch are directly traceable to a lowering of the activities of such glands as the thyroid, pituitary and adrenal. Of these three glands tho thyroid may be said to be the master gland. The dry and thin hair, early decay of teeth, the ridged and grooved nails are common accompaniments of diminished thyroid action. Recent researches have shown that tire Ihyioid can bo activated by iodine in a special organic form, which is contained in the latest scientific discovery—a substance known under tho name of Thyrodone, sold by chemists at 4s 6d with money-back guarantee. Sufferers from loss of energy, fulling hair, decayed teeth, will benefit, by a course ol Thyrodone oapsuios. ■•J.'ep” yourse.l with 'J hyrodone: Vitality regained.
