Shelley will not take up his duties as Director of Broadcasting until December, he will he charged with the full direction of the Government’s policv in regard to broadcasting. The services of Mr E. C. Hands, formerly general manager of the Broadcasting Board, and still to all intents and purposes the administrative head of the National Broadcasting Service, will he retained and lie will act in the capacity of business manager of the broadcasting service.
