Miss Betty Jackson, who has been at home with her parents, recuperating after her recent illness, returns to the AAanganui Girls’ College on Sunday. Miss Constance Cooksiev returned to her home this week after abriof visit to Hawke’s Bay. Mrs Gaskin, of Eketahuna, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs V. Claridge, has returned to her home. Miss V. Sadd, of Rongotea, was the guosut of Mrs Claridge recently. . The fine weather and sunshine winch this district has enjoyed lately has dried the ground sufficiently to enable settlers to begin getting ready for the first crops. Already there is evidence of activity with tractors and teams and some areas have been ploughed and worked up ready for the drill.
