A.J.C. MEETING. FIRST DAY ACCEPTORS. SYDNEY. Oct. 1. Acceptances for the first day of the A.J.C. meeting on Saturday are: — THE A.J.C. DERBY', of £SOOO. One mile and a half.
THE FINAL GALLOPS. The final gallops in preparation for Saturday’s races were mostly of an easy nature at Randwick, where the A grass track was used for the first time for 12 months. Gold Rod just cantered from the mile and a quarter post, and Mala went a comfortable half-miio in 512, with Golden Treasure. Tho Marne, going well within himself, easily beat Athenian over seven furlongs in 1.32. Gay Blonde easily beat Golden Gato over five furlongs in 1.2 J. Cuddle (Webster), ridden all tho way, took 1.17 for six furlongs. She did not finish well. Capris and Autobuz together covered five in 1.3. Silver Standard and Heroic Faith did an easy live in 1.5. Gustos led Bobby over a mile in 1.453, and Gay Sheik led Spirits over an easy seven in 1.36. Lasting heat Tuekerbox and Cyrillian at a mile in 1.45. Oro did the fastest mile, 142£, and carried a good weight. He moved at traetivcly. Happy Landing was well beaten by Verberry over nine furlongs in 2.13. Queen of Song ran five on tho tan tn 1.2. At Victoria Park, Gay Lover did a very smart gallop over five furlongs in 1.1, the last half-mile in 48jsec. Prittle Prattle ran five furlongs in 1.25, and could have done better.
Silver Ring, carrying a very light hoy, reeled olf six furlongs in 1.145, a particularly satisfactory gallop. Sporting Blood also pleased, accompanying Satmoth over seven furlongs in 1.28 i, the first three in 37$sec. Silver Jubilee and High were together after six furlongs, in 1.151. As Silver Jubilee carried the heavier boy, his work was definitely good.
