FRESH WATER FISH.
REGULATIONS PUBLISHED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 1. The Fresh Water Fisheries Regula.tions, 1936, giving effect to the Fisheries Amendment Act, 1936, were published to-night. They make provision for the i«6ue of licenses and define the places were acclimatised fish shall be taken, one clause dealing with the question of license fees being to the effect that there shall be paid bv every acclimatisation society into the Consolidated Fund the proportion of onetenth of the aggregate fees chargeable for licenses issued by such society in respect of any period commencing after the passing of the Fisheries Amendment Act, 1936. The regulations also cover the liabilities of persons fishing, unlawful possession, dealing in fresh-water fish, pollution of waters and penalties for breaches of the regulations, appended to which is a schedule of the licenses and fees to be charged throughout the Dominion.
