KING IN LONDON.
HOLIDAY TERMINATES. LONDON, Oct. 1. The King arrived at London after his holiday at Balmoral, and drove to Buckingham Palace. He was not recognised by a large crowd at Euston Station which gathered to welcome him, as he sat back in his car, the rear blinds of which were drawn. He breakfasted with Queen Mary at the Palace. QUEEN’S NEW RESIDENCE. AT MARLBOROUGH HOUSE. • Received October 2, 9.40 a.m. . LONDON, Oct. 1. Queen Mary left Buckingham Palace after lunch to-day to take up her permanent residence at Marlborough House, where her personal standard has been hoisted.
The King accompanied his mother to her new residence.
