The Commonwealth Government is to be represented by the Minister of Defence (Sir Archdale Parkhill) at the conference at Wellington to consider the establishment ot an air mail service between Australia and New Zealand.
Sir Archdaie Parkhill will be accompanied by a delegation of senior officers from the Post Office and the Civil Aviation Department, and will •ail next Saturday. He expects to be absent about a month.
AUSTRALIAN AGREEMENT.
WITH GREAT BRITAIN
CANBERRA, Sept. 16. The Federal Cabinet to-day decided to participate in tho British Government’s proposals for linking up the Dominions in the Empire air .mail scheme. Details are not yet completed. It is believed that there will be an extension of the dying-boat service to Sydney next year and ultimately to New Zealand.

MEMORIAL AT SYDNEY
SYDNEY, Sept. 16. The Australian Flying Corps Association intends to erect an appropriate memorial to tho late Sir Charles Kingsford Smith and Mr C. T. P. Ulm on a site chosen near the entrance to the harbour in a commanding position at Vaucluse.
- Surmounting a high tower there will be a huge copper globe symbolising the fliers’ exploits.
